Grand Inna Malioboro, one of the historical building located in the main access to the center of the Yogyakarta city. The Dutch Company built it in 1911 during the colonization era, long before Indonesia's independence day. The building is also used by important figures on that era. So that it bring the strong HISTORICAL ambiance that inherit dutch colonial’s ”Indische Stijl & Art Deco” inspired architectural design.
Originally named “Grand Hotel de Djokdja”, the hotel has existed through generations. The mark of history also give many essence of HERITAGE value throughout overall building character. Bearing national scale heritage building standard in Indonesia, the renovation project will be challenged to renew the architecture design but yet to preserve the original design as much as possible.
As the building itself located in the central of Yogyakarta. Local CULTURE INFUSION are also considered as strong influence for the building overall characters. This may also become strong value to attract tourism with historic & cultural interest that rare to find in modern era.
